five moves words of doom. // accepting.

Immediately his tongue feels as sandpaper is is his mouth.   And he is a little boy once more  —- staring into the world wondering if it would ever get warmer.   Moments like this made him wish he never met people, never impacted their lives or fell in love with them.   Because no matter what he felt  —  those words never ceased to haunt him.   What if he never made it home?   What if he did?   What if he ruined this and broke his heart?   it was questions like this that stopped him from truly opening up.   it was thoughts like these that caused him to keep people at arms length.

But somehow Finn had wormed his way closer than anyone else had in a very long time.   Sami felt himself wishing he could disappear without a trace from his life to save him the heartbreak he would inevitably cause him.   Whether it was by being too human or just by being himself.  Sami was a failure      he always disappointed, which was the reason he refused to get with Finn in the first place for his own safety, but…Sami decided to try to make it work, and right now, he wasn’t accomplishing anything.   The grip on the phone unconciously got tighter, and he takes a deep breath as an attempt to block the sadness that was threatening to takeover. 

                 “I miss you too. I’ll be home soon, okay? Just wait for me.”
