     It takes Essie a moment to realize what Sami had meant by his joking comment, but a MEEK grin soon grows wide upon pink cheeks. Sure, he’s quite a tall individual — but she doesn’t mind so much at all. In fact, she likes it. Not that she would tell him that. “Maybe you should lean down more,” she begins to GIGGLE, like an excited schoolgirl on the playground with the boy she likes, “the heels I wear are only one or two inches, and so they would do little.”

     AN   IMMEDIATE   RESPONSE,      his face brightening, a laugh more akin to a SNICKER crashing out of his lungs and his head shaking in comical disbelief. truth be told, essie wasn’t even that short compared to sami, but the exaggerating was what made the banter amusing and enjoyable.     ❝     lean down ?  y’mean like this ?     ❞     he grins and leans down, his face becoming much closer to hers.      ❝     is this good enough for ya, short stack ?     ❞      he teased, eyebrows quirking up.
