Her eyes literally lit up the moment he opened the box and started to describe what was inside, head slanting to one side in awe, her features expressing joy. “Sami, you are so adorable. I love it, even the bear. I’m definitely going to be taking it with me whilst on the road. It’ll remind me of you when I’m missing you.” Walking over to him, Mella pulled him into a tight-knit hug. “Thank you so much!!”

       ^{He welcomes her into his arms, lips bumping the top of her head.She is memorized against every inch of his skin, and every addition of pressure, every tightness, every closeness she provides alludes to moments of the past. With eyes twinkling, face softened, he releases a chuckle — and those thoughts, those distant muscle memories, EMERGE with it.        “You’re welcome, Mella! Happy Valentine’s Day!”}

“What is that?” Mella took her eyes off from her phone to glance down at the box situated beside of her. “You know, this better not be some silly joke and there’s just an never ending pile of bubble wrap in there, it’s not April fools yet.”

           ^{“Mella, if you could trust me and not think I’d do something as silly as that, that’d be just PEACHY.”       Half-sarcasm rides on a teasing tone, head shaking, eyes darting into a roll as he opens the box.       “It’s just some sweets, flowers, and a bear I got for you. It isn’t much, but it’s somethin’. I didn’t know what you’d like and I didn’t want to suffer a migraine from thinking too hard so I just got you these, hehe. I hope you enjoy.”}
